Heuresis.app
A workspace for thinking problems all the way through.
Now accepting Beta Requests! Heuresis is a structured ideation workspace built on proven inventive methods: C-K Theory, TRIZ's 40 principles, and SCAMPER. Instead of a blank canvas, you work in a unified concept tree, turning a fuzzy problem into developed, comparable concepts.
The first time I learned about these tools was during my Innovation Management Master's degree. I found it fascinating because it was a way to think about creativity in a more structured and systematic way. We often think of new ideas and creativity as these random events, but that is far from the truth. Most new ideas emerge from existing concepts that have been changed or adapted in various manners. If things were invented from literal scratch, then it would be much harder to come up with new ideas. Once I learned about these tools, I started seeing them everywhere. Everything became evident, and my own limitations became only my capacity to explore the world of possibilities.
Then, with the advent of AI as we know it, I believed that ideas would come more easily. That is kind of true because people now share and discuss new ideas with their favorite LLM more than ever. What I found though is that most LLMs do not really come up with truly innovative or unique ideas. I often found myself having to push and discuss for long hours before I could find something interesting. And even after that, the only thing I had left was a long conversation with a messy exploration that is difficult to search through. That's when I decided to put everything into practice the way I imagined it in my "ideal world." Those who know TRIZ will know what I'm talking about... but in my ideal world, I would like to be able to augment my thinking with AI exponentially, have it organized and logical, while having the capability to immediately know if what I'm thinking of is true. I would also be able to share it and work with others seamlessly, as if we all had the same brain. There is nothing more satisfying than thinking of something that literally nobody else thought of, and it's quite rare.
That's how I came up with Heuresis.app. I feel like it's the start of an interesting journey full of possibilities, and I already have so many ideas I want to explore which were created thanks to the tool itself! I personally believe that the use of chat boxes and the way we interact with AI is approaching a saturation point. Even though I make use of it in Heuresis, I am still exploring different surfaces of contact to make things more efficient and interesting. If you find this interesting, drop by heuresis.app and apply for Beta access. I will personally assign you a key and make sure these tools serve you as well as they did for me.
