Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built HealthierCart because I got tired of two kinds of food apps. The ones that hand you a single mystery score with no idea how they got there, and the ones that flag every additive as "bad" the second it appears, with no sense of how much is actually in the product. That second kind turned grocery shopping into low-grade anxiety. So I tried to build the opposite. HealthierCart gives a transparent A to D grade where the breakdown literally explains itself: how much added sugar, which additives, how processed, and crucially the dose, because a trace amount and a daily habit are not the same thing. It uses US-first data (Open Food Facts plus other sources) so American brands actually show up, and it suggests a healthier swap you can find nearby. The scoring model penalizes added sugar but not the natural sugar in milk, treats fat from whole foods more gently than ultra-processed fat, and shows its sources. It's opinionated on purpose, and every grade is explainable. Scanning is always free. I'd genuinely love feedback on the scoring, especially where you think it gets a product wrong. That's the fastest way to make it better.
