Redact PDFs without uploading them anywhere
Drop in a PDF and hddn opens it in your browser. Nothing is uploaded for processing. It highlights names, emails, IDs and numbers for you to approve, you can black out anything else by hand, and the export removes the covered content from the file instead of painting over it. Load it once and it keeps working with your Wi-Fi off. That is the whole pitch, and you can test it in about thirty seconds.

I built this because the usual way people "redact" a PDF is to draw a filled rectangle over the text, and the text is still in the file underneath. Select it, copy it, paste it, and there it is. The Pentagon did it in 2005, the TSA in 2009, a legal team in a 2019 court filing. So hddn does two things. The export removes the content instead of covering it. And the whole thing runs in the browser, so the document never goes to a server - turn off your Wi-Fi after the tools load and it still works. It is closed source, which I know some of you will want to push back on. The honest answer is that offline mode is the test I can actually offer: disconnect, refresh, keep redacting, and watch the network tab.
