I'm the solo developer behind HandyPC.
I built this because I kept switching between a file manager, an SSH app, and a separate network tool every time I needed to check something from my phone — usually mid-task, standing somewhere without a laptop. None of those individual apps are doing anything new; a file manager plus a terminal app already covers a lot of people's needs. What I wanted was all of it in the order I actually use it, in one app.
HandyPC is that: text editor, file explorer, SSH, terminal, SCP, and network diagnostics (ping, traceroute, port check, LAN device list, etc.), with a USB-C/RJ-45 adapter for wired use when you want it.
It's still a small, personal project — I'd genuinely like to hear where it falls short for your workflow, or what tool you currently stitch together that this doesn't cover yet. Happy to answer anything about how it's built too (React Native + Kotlin via Turbo Modules).
