Halo
Notifications, dictation and AI agents in your Mac's notch
Halo turns your Mac's notch into a Dynamic Island: messages from any app, dictation that types anywhere when you hold Fn, a little face that follows your cursor and watches your AI agents, plus music, calls and monitor brightness. $9.99 once.
Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Otabek, and I make Halo on my own.
Halo puts a Dynamic Island in your Mac's notch, or draws one on any screen that doesn't have a notch.
Some of you saw the first version a while back. It did music and external monitor brightness. 2.0 is the version I wanted from the start:
🔔 Notifications from any app land in the notch instead of the corner of the screen. You choose which apps get in.
🎙 Hold Fn, talk, let go. Halo types what you said wherever your cursor is, in any app. It runs on your Mac, or on Whisper with your own Groq key.
🙂 Buddy, a tiny face beside the notch. It follows your cursor, naps when you leave, and shows you when Claude Code or Codex is done or waiting for you.
Music with synced lyrics, calls, timers, a file shelf and real monitor brightness are all still there.
$9.99 once. No subscription, no account, and dictation runs on your Mac unless you choose Whisper.
What would you want to see in the notch next? I read every comment and I'll be here all day.

Who hunted Halo?
Halo was hunted by Otabek Abdiraimov. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
