gogitype

Typing practice that finds and fixes your weak keys

Most typing tests tell you how fast you are. gogitype tells you why you aren't faster. It analyzes per-keystroke timing to find context-dependent weak spots (like being slow at 'r' only after 'e'), builds drills from real words containing your problem patterns, and retires each drill once the data shows you've fixed it. Finger heatmaps, rhythm training with a metronome, multiplayer races and a co-op arcade mode. Free, no ads, works offline, no account needed to try.

Hey everyone. I built gogitype after realizing my typing problem wasn't specific keys, it was specific transitions. I could type 'r' fast everywhere except right after 'e', and nothing I tried could detect that, let alone train it. So gogitype records per-keystroke timing, finds these context-dependent weak spots, and generates drills from real words that contain them. When a weakness is fixed, the drill goes away — you don't keep grinding what you've already solved. There's also a per-finger heatmap, a metronome mode for evening out burst-typing, multiplayer races, and a co-op arcade mode called Word Blaster. It's free, no ads, and you can try it without an account. Would love feedback — especially from fast typists on whether the weak-key detection holds up at 150+ WPM.
