Gofy

Your city's live map, updated by people who live there

Google Maps tells you what's supposed to be there. Gofy shows you what's actually happening right now — free events, deals, hidden spots — posted by real people, verified by real presence, not scraped or paid for. Locals who post real, verified spots can earn from it, which is why the map stays fresh instead of going stale after launch week.

Top comment

Hey Product Hunters 👋 I built Gofy because most "discover things near you" apps are either scraped listings that are stale the moment you open them, or ads dressed up as recommendations. I wanted a map that's actually alive — updated by people who are physically there, not a database someone touched once and forgot about. The idea: locals post free things to do, deals, and events happening around them, and it shows up on a live map instantly for everyone nearby. The part that took the longest to get right was trust — anyone can post anything, so Gofy checks posts against real presence at the location instead of just taking someone's word for it. That's also what makes the earning side work: people who post real, verified spots can actually get paid for it, without it turning into spam. Would genuinely love feedback on: Does the map feel alive or empty when you first open it in your city? Is the posting/earning flow clear, or confusing? Thanks for checking it out — I'll be in the comments all day.
