Fresnel
AI camera relighting for macOS
Fresnel analyzes your camera feed in realtime with Apple's Neural Engine to insert virtual lights into the scene. With a click, change if you are in a well-lit studio, a candle-lit corner or a colorful YouTube setup. Using on-device AI depth estimation, Fresnel understands the 3D shape of everything in front of your camera. Then it lets you place virtual studio lights into that space and renders the result live into a virtual camera you can use in Zoom, OBS, etc.

Hey ProductHunt! Inspired by a tweet by Konrad Reczko (https://x.com/reczko_konrad/stat...) I built Fresnel, a virtual camera relighting app for macOS. Fresnel is a macOS app that uses CoreML on the Neural Engine to relight the live camera feed using virtual lights. If your're interested: The app runs Depth Anything V2 (small/fp16) using CoreML, then uses a custom Metal shader to relight the image based on the depth map and virtual lights.
