FreshSend — Edit as New for Gmail
Edit as New for Gmail — reuse any email instantly
Gmail has no "Edit as New." To resend a past email or reuse one as a template, you're stuck copy-pasting from Sent or forwarding to yourself. FreshSend adds an "Edit as New" button next to Reply and Forward. One click opens a fresh draft with the recipients, subject, and full body — images and formatting preserved — ready to edit and send. No copy-paste. No digging through Sent. Runs in your browser; it never stores or sends your email content.
Gmail has a Reply and a Forward button, but no "Edit as New." So every time I wanted to resend a past email, reuse a message as a template, or start fresh from one I'd received, I was stuck copy-pasting out of my Sent folder, and the formatting and images never survived the trip.
FreshSend adds an "Edit as New" button right next to Reply and Forward. One click opens a brand-new draft with the recipients, subject, and full body carried over, images and formatting intact, ready to edit and send.
A few things I cared about building it: • It runs entirely in your browser. It never stores or sends your email content anywhere. • No copy-paste, no digging through Sent, no reformatting. • Free to use, with an optional one-time Pro upgrade. No subscription, because a small utility like this shouldn't cost you every month.
It's my second Chrome extension (after Reply Shaper), and I'm building these in public as a solo maker, so your feedback genuinely shapes what I do next.
Two questions for you:
How often do you find yourself resending or reusing an old email?
What's the one thing you'd want "Edit as New" to do that it doesn't yet?
Would love your honest thoughts 🙏

I built FreshSend to scratch my own itch.
