Find A Brainrot

Find and care for the Brainrots hiding in your neighborhood

All of the Brainrots you know and love are hiding out in the world around you. Walk up, hunt and catch them on the map or through the camera in AR, and look after them at home and in your AR Base

Hello Product Hunt!!!

Every launch here lately is a great AI or agent tool, built to make someone's job easier or a company run leaner. I built Find A Brainrot so we all have something fun to do after work, once the day's grinding at the startup is done.

I'm Nick. This started as a simple game for my kids, who love playing Steal A Brainrot on Fortnite and Roblox. I made this game so they could get out of the house and still play a fun Italian Brainrot game. Plus I left out the stealing part, which caused A LOT of drama 😬 haha!

If you enjoy the Italian Brainrot memes or the games above, you'll enjoy this one too. It has similar game play to Pokémon GO. Open the Hunt tab outside and Brainrots appear on a map of the area around you, always one within a short walk. Walk up and catch one on the map, or open the AR view and see it standing on the ground in front of you through the camera. Every catch gets a room, where you feed it, give it water and play with it. The happier you keep your Brainrots, the more coins they earn. Coins buy you tools, decorations and more rooms. Nothing costs real money, there are no ads, and we never keep a history of where anyone has been.

I took extra care with the family design and the safety measures. A grown-up makes the account and holds the controls. Kids get profiles with a PIN, never an email or a password. They can't be found by search, every friend request waits for a grown-up's yes, and they message with preset phrases and stickers. The AR view opens on an outdoor safety checklist, pauses when you're moving faster than a walk, and asks for a break after ten minutes.

There is also a base you can put down in AR and walk through. If your base has more than one floor, you can actually walk up the stairs or climb the ladder. Parades happen a few times a day, so you can buy Brainrots without going outside. The Fuse machine takes in up-to four Brainrots and hopefully hands back something better (it doesn't always work out that way). Friends can trade with each other, there are weekly quests and leaderboards, and Admin Hour, where I join the game and give away perks to everyone playing at that moment. New Brainrots arrive every week.

Launch gift: type 27246768 into the Codes machine (that is BRAINROT on a phone keypad) for a Legendary Strawberry Elephant and 1,000 coins.

It plays on the web on any phone (findabrainrot.com), and the iPhone app (App Store) adds the AR views and the rest of the native side. Android plays on the web for now.

I'd love to hear what you think of the game and whether your family finds it fun. I'm always open to feedback and suggestions!

Thanks!

Nick
