I've been trading for years, and something always bugged me. You'd see people in trading communities make really smart calls like "inflation is coming in hot" but there was no clean way to actually trade on that. You'd have to buy some stock index or mess with complex derivatives that don't even reflect what you're trying to say.
And then there's the whole "expert consensus" thing. A bunch of economists get polled, and suddenly that's "what the market thinks." But is it really? A prediction market cuts through all of that, when people put money where their mouth is, you get the real picture. No noise, no spin.
This existed in the US but not in Europe. So we built it. FENET lets you trade your view on events that are highly relevant for Europe, events that have always been ignored because of the glamour of other global events despite they hold as much importance.
