EverRun

The ultimate free run tracker and marathon training log

Turn on airplane mode. Ask the coach how your run went. It answers. It reads the run properly: how hard it actually was, whether your heart rate crept up while your pace held, what that means for tomorrow. She runs on your phone. Nothing is sent anywhere. Also free: fitness and fatigue tracking, HR zones, VO2max, GPS for 20+ sports, and plans from couch-to-5K to marathon. Syncs with Apple Health, Garmin and more I'm in the comments all day.

Turn on airplane mode. Open EverRun. Ask the coach how your run went. You get a real answer. Something like: your heart rate climbed through the second half even though your pace stayed flat, so that was harder than it looks on paper. Keep tomorrow easy. No signal. No servers. No API key. Nothing to run out of. I'm Anoop. I built this because I wanted a good coach and I didn't want to hand over my sleep, my resting heart rate and a map of where I run alone at 5am to get one. Not to OpenAI, not to Anthropic, not to me either. On an iPhone with Apple Intelligence the coach runs on Apple's on-device model. The whole thing happens on your phone. There's no request to intercept because nothing gets sent. Her name is Vera. What she actually does: She reads the run properly. Not "great job!" She looks at how hard it was compared to what you normally do, whether you've ramped up faster than your body is used to, and whether your heart rate crept up while your pace held. Then she tells you what that means for tomorrow. You can ask her things. "Why do I feel wrecked today?" She answers from your actual week — the sleep you got, the session you did on Tuesday — not from a generic article about recovery. She suggests, you approve. If she thinks you need an easy 40 minutes tomorrow she offers it as a card you tap yes or no on. She can't touch your calendar on her own. That was a hard line for me. She says when she doesn't know. If there isn't enough to go on, she says so. I'd rather that than a confident guess about your body. The bit most launches would leave out: The on-device model needs a recent iPhone (15 Pro or newer, latest iOS). On anything older you still get a coach, just a rule-based one instead of a generative one. Same sports science underneath, still running on your phone, still private. The app tells you which one you've got. That seemed better than quietly handing some people a worse thing and saying nothing. The rest of the app is free: Fitness and fatigue tracking (the "am I actually getting fitter, or just tired?" chart), heart rate zones, VO2max, recovery scoring, GPS for 20+ sports, and plans that build properly from couch-to-5K up to a marathon. Syncs with Apple Health, Strava and Garmin. If you already know what CTL/ATL/TSB, FTP and power curves are: they're all in there, and they're all free. If you don't, you'll never need to learn the acronyms to use this. Three things I'd like to be argued with about: 1. Does the privacy thing actually make anyone switch apps? Or is it something we all say we want and then never act on? 2. What would a coach have to get right before you'd trust it with a 16-week marathon block? 3. If you're on an older phone: is labelling the rule-based coach honest, or does it just feel like being shown the cheap seats? I'm in the comments all day.

Who hunted EverRun?

EverRun was hunted by anoop sharma. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
