Who hunted Everpin?
Everpin was hunted by Mark Zhong. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community. Hi, I’m Mark. I built Everpin because the places I’ve been were scattered across my camera roll, notes, and maps, and I wanted one private journal for them.
Everpin is a map journal for iPhone. Press and hold the map to drop a pin, or import geotagged photos and each one becomes a place with the picture, the date, and the city. Countries fill in as you add places, nearby pins can group into one bubble, and the journal syncs through your private iCloud. There is no Everpin account.
It’s for anyone who wants to remember where they’ve been: trips, cities, trails, and favorite spots. It is a personal record, not a social feed.
I’d especially like feedback on three things:
Is dropping your first pin obvious?
Does importing geotagged photos feel useful, or would you rather add places by hand?
When you open the map, do you want the globe, a flat map, or a list of places first?
If something feels missing for the way you keep travel memories, tell me. Thanks for looking.
