Windows Update quietly holds back a lot of driver updates. It will give you the ones Microsoft has certified for your machine and stay silent about the rest, so you end up on a two year old graphics or chipset driver without ever being told.
DriverGeek just lists what you have. Device, current version, date, and whether the vendor has published something newer. No forced installs, no bundled driver pack, no subscription. You look at the list and decide.
It runs offline apart from the version check, and the source is on GitHub.
One honest caveat: the installer is not code signed yet, so SmartScreen may warn on first run.
