Hey Product Hunt, I’m the maker of Dreamtail.
The inspiration for Dreamtail came from a personal problem: I’d wake up from vivid, emotional dreams… and lose them within minutes. I tried notes apps, voice memos, even paper journals — but they were either too rigid, too noisy, or offered zero help in understanding what the dream might mean.
Most dream journals stop at storage.
I wanted something that helps you reflect, not just record.
That’s when Dreamtail started taking shape.
At first, the idea was simple: make it effortless to capture dreams. But as I worked on it, the focus evolved. I realized the real value isn’t just writing dreams down — it’s seeing patterns over time: recurring symbols, emotional shifts, themes that connect dreams to waking life.
So the approach shifted to:
A calm, distraction-free mobile experience (dreams deserve softness)
AI-powered insights that feel supportive, not definitive
A model that’s free to use, with optional one-time bundles, no subscriptions, no guilt, no pressure to “optimise” your dreams
Throughout the build, one principle stayed constant:

Dreamtail is meant to be a quiet place you return to in the morning, or the middle of the night, where your thoughts feel safe and unrushed.
