Hi Product Hunt 👋 I’m Paolo, the maker of Delixio.
I built Delixio around a very ordinary question I kept facing: “What can I cook with what I already have?”
I wanted something that didn’t just generate a random recipe, but actually started from the ingredients in my kitchen and helped me get all the way to dinner.
That idea gradually became Delixio. You choose the ingredients you want to use and how closely the recipe should stick to them: Strict, Flexible, or Creative. Delixio gives you meal ideas, turns the one you like into a full recipe, and then helps you save it, plan it for later, and add only the missing ingredients to your grocery list.
A lot changed while building it. The more I used Delixio myself, the more I realized that ingredient control mattered just as much as the AI itself. Sometimes you really want to use only what’s in the fridge. Other times you’re happy to add a few things. So the product evolved around giving the cook that control rather than letting the AI decide everything.
I also didn’t want another cooking app that immediately asks for a subscription. Recipe ideas are free, everyone gets one free full recipe every day, and if you need more you can buy credits that don’t expire.
Delixio is now available on iOS and Android, and this is still very much a product I’m actively improving.
I’d genuinely love your feedback, especially on the Strict / Flexible / Creative approach, the first-time experience, and whether Delixio makes the “what should I cook tonight?” problem easier for you.
