An anonymous, one-in, one-out message exchange
Dear Next Visitor is a small social experiment in kindness and serendipity. A visitor writes a message for the next person, then receives the message left by the person before them. There are no accounts, feeds or likes. Just a single thought passed from one stranger to another.
I'm always trying to come up with ideas for micro projects that can be 'completed' rapidly. I'm not sure what I was thinking when I put this together, but I had this idea for a site where you read a message written by the previous visitor and write a message of your own. The idea is the site has always got something fresh and unexpected for you, whilst being technologically very simple and storing only two simple data values at any time - the latest message and the message count.
The message you read is for your eyes only - you'll be the only person to read it. It was written for you, but there's no way to know who wrote it, and there is no way to respond. Only to write forwards for the next visitor.
