Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Luis. I make travel-language apps (Japanese and Mandarin before this one). Last May I went to Korea with my wife and completely fell in love with the country. I also couldn't read half the signs, so I started studying Hangul and built the app I wish I'd had there. So Dalmaji isn't a course. It's a companion app for the trip, to get you a little more immersed in the language and the culture while you're there. Saying it: 340 phrases in 13 situations, with Hangul, romanization and clear audio, always in the polite register. "Show it" turns the phone into a card for the person in front of you. Reading it: Hangul in 30 minutes, with the 40 letters, a tappable syllable table and a 6-lesson crash course that ends with 12 real street signs. Ordering it: a Menu Decoder with 60 dishes (spice level, pork, seafood and veggie flags) and the exact phrase to order each one, with audio. Paying: a won converter that keeps working with no signal. iPhone only for now, 12 languages, no account, no ads. There's a free tier and a one-time Pro unlock, no subscription. Two things I'd love feedback on: is the free tier too generous or not enough? And if you've been to Korea, is anything missing?
