CVCater
One CV. Every role. Tailored in minutes. Beat ATS filters!
Rewriting your CV for every job is exhausting. CVCater lets you save one master CV, paste any job listing, and generate a tailored version scored across 6 ATS categories. Features: guided 5 step wizard, baseline CV vault, career dashboard with stats and job recommendations, application tracker, Chrome extension for Indeed, LinkedIn and Reed, PDF and Word export, and interview prep with quizzes and training. Scoring is deterministic with actionable feedback. Start for free. No card needed!
Hey my name is Rory the founder and solo dev of CVCater! I built CVCater after one too many job applications where I spent 45 minutes tailoring my CV, hit submit, and heard nothing back.
Turns out, the problem wasn't my experience, it was that ATS systems were filtering me out before a recruiter ever opened the file. And I had no way to know what was wrong.
CV Cater fixes that. You upload your CV once, paste a job listing, and get a tailored version with a detailed ATS parsability score, not a vague "looks good" rating, but a category-by-category breakdown of exactly what automated systems check for and where yours falls short.
A few things I'm proud of:
The scoring engine is fully deterministic, no black-box AI guessing, every score is explainable
The Chrome extension pulls job details straight from the listing page so you don't have to copy-paste
The whole platform runs on a simple Gem credit system — no surprise subscriptions
CvCater directs you to real live coursera training if missing from targeted jobs
An interview practice auto tailored for each individual job you are targeting
This has been a solo build from day one, and I'd genuinely love to hear what you think. Happy to answer any questions or take feedback on what to build next!

Who hunted CVCater?
CVCater was hunted by Rory Thomson. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
