Many crossword games require downloads, accounts, or subscriptions, so we wanted a free browser-based alternative anyone could start instantly. The project evolved from a simple crossword grid into a customizable game with fresh puzzles, multiple difficulty levels, hints, scoring, timers, and automatic progress tracking.
