I built ClearBG because every "free" background remover either slaps a watermark on the result, caps you at a handful of images, or quietly uploads your photos to their servers. I wanted one that's actually free and actually private.
So ClearBG runs the AI entirely in your browser — your images never touch a server. That also makes it unlimited, full-resolution, and account-free.
It grew into a little image toolkit, all client-side:
• Remove backgrounds (AI, in-browser)
• Compress images to a target size (e.g. "under 200 KB")
• Convert PNG / JPG / WEBP / AVIF
• Crop, Instagram sizing, favicon & app-icon generator
• WhatsApp/Telegram sticker maker + a meme generator
