Anyone who sells, ships or handles a chemical is legally required to hold a Safety Data Sheet and GHS labels for it. That is OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1200 in the US, and REACH EC 1907/2006 with CLP EC 1272/2008 in the EU. The people who need one most rarely have an EHS department. The Etsy candle maker whose listing just got flagged. The small formulator. The lab with a new intermediate.
Every option open to them is the wrong shape. A consultant charges $300 to $500 per document and takes days. Authoring software is priced for corporate procurement, near $199 per sheet or $1,499 a year, and sold through a demo. A general chatbot produces prose that looks like a safety sheet and cites nothing, which is worse than nothing.
