I built this because I found it incredibly frustrating to have to download dedicated, sometimes sketchy apps just to test the hardware on a used phone or troubleshoot a sensor issue. I wanted a frictionless, instant solution.
CheckADevice leverages native Web APIs to run hardware sanity checks (screen, audio, sensors, vibration, etc.) entirely client-side in your browser. No telemetry, no accounts required, and no sensitive data leaves your device.
I'd love to hear your feedback on what other diagnostic tests I should add, or if you spot any edge-case bugs on your specific device. Thanks for checking it out!
