I'm Gean, the solo builder behind CategoRush. I built this because I kept finding myself at game nights without the actual Scattergories box and every digital alternative either needed an app download, an account, or had a paywall.
So I built the simplest possible version: open a browser, host a game, read the code out loud, everyone joins in under 30 seconds. That's it.
A few things I'm proud of:
โ The timer is server-synced, not just local, so everyone's clock is actually in sync
โ Pencil Mode for groups who love writing on paper but want the app to handle the categories and timing
โ Works great on mobile, no install required
