Most of what we have in our heads never makes it onto a list. It just lives in our heads. The appointments, the school thing, the thought that pops in without warning. Carry gets it out. I built Carry because I was drowning. Between working full-time in finance, managing a household, raising a child and everything that modern life throws at you, my brain specifically felt like mashed potatoes. The challenge I was facing was that I didn't have a system to manage everything. Things were swirling around in my head so I'd get a fancy notebook, or download a productivity app or try to shoehorn my thoughts into a tool built by engineers. None of that worked because the problem wasn't a lack of tools. It was the absence of a place to get my thoughts out. Carry is voice-first because it's based on the concept of externalization. Say something out loud, Carry captures it, and you can let go. I think of Carry as an external hard drive for my brain.
Carry isn't a productivity app, it's a mental load assistant design to take the load off and not add to it.
Users love it, they consistently tell me they like that Carry doesn't make them feel guilty. They report that using voice as an input method make their life easier and they get more done. Carry has changed my life for the better and I believe it's starting to improve the lives of people who are using her.
