While most dashboarding tools offer dynamic graphs, Byblos generates static PNG images. Compared to dynamic graphs, those PNG graphs can be embedded in any place where images are accepted (e.g., emails, websites). They can also easily be downloaded and shared.
I am very happy to launch Byblos today! After using Grafana for a while, I became frustrated by the lack of options to generate images from charts. The only viable option is the "image renderer plugin", which is not very easy to install and to use.
On the other hand, Byblos generates PNG images directly from Prometheus queries. It can draw several queries, constant values, and supports several styling options. Images are generated using GET requests, meaning that images can be embedded directly inside a web page or an email (no API call needed).
This project is open source, released under the Apache 2 license. While fully functional, it is still in its very stage, and more features are planned.

Who hunted Byblos?
Byblos was hunted by Vincent Primault. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
