Briefing Service
Hourly LLM-edited newspaper for e-ink, reMarkable, Kindle
Every hour an LLM editor ranks ~100 news sources (AI, frontier labs, markets, sports, world), writes why-it-matters notes, and typesets the result for slow screens: 1-bit pages for e-ink dashboards (TRMNL, Inkplate, InkyPi, Xteink), a multi-page Morning Paper PDF pushed to reMarkable or emailed to Kindle every morning (7-day free trial), and structured JSON + an MCP server for agents. Free front pages and PDFs, 25 free API calls a day, then $9/month or pay per request with x402.
Hi Product Hunt. I built this for my own e-ink reader because raw RSS on a slow 1-bit screen is noise. An LLM editor re-picks the hour's news from about 100 feeds, ranks it, writes a why-it-matters line per story, and typesets pages that look like a small newspaper.
It grew three outputs from one pipeline: 480x800 pages for e-ink dashboards (TRMNL, Inkplate, InkyPi, my hacked Xteink X4), a multi-page "Morning Paper" PDF that lands on a reMarkable or Kindle every morning, and the structured JSON behind it as an API and MCP server for agents.
What's free: the briefing list, every front page, the PDFs, and 25 API calls a day per IP. A $9/month key unlocks the full API and daily delivery; agents can also pay per request with x402 (USDC on Base).
I'd love to hear which screen you'd read this on, and what sections you'd want that aren't there yet.
