Hi everyone! I’m the developer of Brew Finder. As a Mac user, I enjoy using Homebrew to manage my apps and packages. Whenever possible, I prefer installing software through Homebrew. However, when visiting an app’s website, it is not always obvious that the app is already available through Homebrew’s official repositories. That is why I created Brew Finder. Brew Finder uses official Homebrew package data and matches packages with their corresponding websites. It also includes dedicated support for GitHub repositories. When you visit an app’s website or GitHub page, Brew Finder lets you know whether an official Homebrew formula or cask is available—even when the website itself does not mention it. I have been using Brew Finder myself for a while, and it still surprises me from time to time: “I didn’t know this was available through Homebrew too!” I hope you find it just as useful and enjoyable. If you encounter any issues or have suggestions, please feel free to share them on GitHub issues.
