Branched came from a simple thought: how many times have we finished a story and thought, “that character should have made a different choice” or “the story should have gone another way”? Existing platforms either let you read linear stories, play author-controlled interactive fiction, or write full fanfiction from scratch. None made it easy to continue a story from the exact moment you wanted to change. So we built Branched. A place where readers can fork a story from any chapter, create alternate paths, and let others explore them. What started as an interactive storytelling idea evolved into something more community-driven, where stories become shared universes instead of fixed narratives.
