Meritas
Post a task, AI screens applicants, pay only when it's done
Meritas is a freelance bounty platform built differently. Clients post a fixed-price merit, AI pre-screens every applicant so you only talk to real fits...no experience gatekeeping. Payment goes into Stripe escrow upfront and only releases when the client approves the work. No bidding wars, no unpaid invoices, no resume. Anyone can claim a bounty.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Simeon, the solo founder behind Meritas.
I built this after watching too many freelancers get ghosted on invoices and too many clients waste hours sifting through unqualified applicants. The existing platforms felt broken...bidding wars that favor whoever charges least, 20% fees eating into every payment, and no real protection for either side.
Meritas flips the model: clients post a fixed-price task, AI pre-screens every applicant so only real fits come through, and payment sits in Stripe escrow until the work is approved. No surprises for the client, no unpaid work for the freelancer.
The thing I'm most proud of is the AI screening...it doesn't gate on experience or portfolios. A beginner with the right skills and attitude gets the same shot as someone with 10 years on their CV. That felt important to get right.
Would love to hear what you think...brutal feedback welcome. What would make you actually use this over what you use today?

Meritas was hunted by Simeon Petkov. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
