Hi Product Hunt,
I'm Max- I have built BotanicBuddy because I kept killing plants and had no idea why.
I lost a Devils Ivy as I didn't know how to correctly look after it and when I should and shouldn't water it! I then thought I should create an easy to use app that allows you not only to just identify what the plant is and when I should water it but also what could leave damage be!
BotanicBuddy does two things, fast:
📸 Snap a photo → what's this plant, and how do I keep it alive
🩺 Snap the problem (yellow leaves, bugs, brown tips) → what's wrong and what to do about it
Plus reminders that actually allow your plant care to be scheduled around your life (no more "was that a week ago?"), plain-English care guides, and a small friendly community of fellow plant people.
We're a tiny UK studio — just us, no VC. So private by design wasn't a marketing checkbox: Sign in with Apple, no tracking, no selling your data.
