Hey Product Hunt 👋
We built China State–Bank Nexus because looking at debt numbers alone leaves out one of the most important questions: where does the pressure go next?
China’s financial system is deeply interconnected. Local-government financing can lead into bank balance sheets, refinancing conditions and fiscal mechanisms. Property can connect households, developers, banks and local-government finances. PBoC liquidity can change funding conditions without necessarily removing the underlying credit risk.
The Nexus makes those relationships visible.
You can move between funding, risk and backstop layers, isolate institutions and trace how different forms of pressure could travel between the state, PBoC, banks, LGFVs, SOEs, property, households and the external sector.
We deliberately avoided creating another black-box “China risk score”. The idea is to expose the structure and let the user examine the transmission mechanism.
It also connects naturally with our existing China Balance Sheet research: the Balance Sheet asks who owns the claim? The Nexus asks where can the pressure travel?
This is part of a broader direction at BondStats: building financial research tools that make relationships visible instead of simply putting more numbers on a dashboard.
I’d especially value feedback on the network itself: which relationship or transmission channel would you want to investigate next?
