Beheld
A journal you don't write. It reads your movement.
Each morning a quiet companion reads your movement from Apple Health and writes the day down, in prose, landmarks, and a postcard. On-device Apple Intelligence, no server, no analytics. Free to use; a one-time purchase makes it personal.
I'm eTurea, an independent developer in Alberta. I built Beheld because my phone had been quietly recording how I move through the world for years, and almost none of it ever became something I wanted to read. Every app I tried wanted to grade the day or tell me what to do tomorrow.
Beheld is the opposite. Each morning a nameless companion reads the day before from Apple Health and writes it down, in plain prose, in landmarks, and sometimes in a postcard. One morning it might read: "The length of Central Park. Two kilometres, folded into yesterday." It speaks in distance, not numbers, and it stays quiet. It never asks anything of you.
It is built mode-neutral from the first line. Steps, pushes, distance, and elevation count the same, so the journal reads the same whether you move on foot or on wheels. That was not an add-on. It is the design.
Everything happens on the iPhone. Your movement history is never uploaded. No server, no account, no analytics, no third-party SDK. The free journal is the whole thing, written from an author-written library with bundled illustrations. On Apple Intelligence iPhones, a one-time Personalization purchase adds writing and postcards generated on the device, about your own movement. The free companion never goes away.
There is also SENT: a milestone postcard can leave the journal as an iMessage, to one person, once. Beheld does not see who. I would love for you to try it and tell me how the writing reads to you. I am here all day.

Who hunted Beheld?
Beheld was hunted by Eduard Turea. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
