Awakado

Keep your Mac awake while your AI agents work

A Mac menu-bar app that keeps your Mac awake while Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI or Cursor work, then lets it sleep. Free. Pro keeps it awake with the lid closed and wakes it when a Claude Code usage limit resets.

Hi Product Hunt! I built Awakado because my Mac kept falling asleep in the middle of long Claude Code runs.

It listens to each agent's own hooks, so it knows when an agent is working, waiting for you, stuck at a usage limit, or done. It keeps the Mac awake only while something is working, then lets it sleep a few minutes after the last one finishes.

The part I like most is in Pro: if Claude Code hits its usage limit at 2 am, Awakado lets the Mac sleep and wakes it two minutes before the limit resets, so the run picks up while you're still asleep.

It's free to download; Pro is $9.99 once for 3 Macs. Made by a small studio in New Zealand. I'd love to hear which agents you'd like it to support next.

Who hunted Awakado?

Awakado was hunted by Tony Hou. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
