A fixed-speed prompter makes you serve the script. Autoprompt flips that: it listens to what you actually say and moves the text to match, so you can slow down for a point, stop to think, or wander off-script for a sentence, and the words are still where your eyes are when you come back. It never jumps backwards on its own; tap a word to continue from there.
The recognition runs entirely on the device (Apple's speech frameworks, 46 languages on iOS 27), so nothing you say is uploaded. Everything else the sister app Telepromptme does is here too: recording up to 4K with the script beside the lens, burned-in captions, background removal, mirroring for rigs, remote control and iCloud sync.
