Hi Product Hunt! I'm Igor, the maker of AudioConverter. [Why I built it: one or two sentences about the moment that started it. For example, a "FLAC" album that turned out to be an MP3 in disguise, or getting tired of juggling ffmpeg flags for a whole music library.] Most converters just move bytes from one format to another. I wanted one that also tells you whether the conversion makes sense: 🔍 A spectrogram of the whole file with a cutoff frequency check. If a "lossless" file stops at 16 kHz, you will see it. 📐 A size forecast and warnings before you start: lossy to lossy, a bitrate above the source, lossy to lossless. 🎚 EBU R128 loudness normalization per track or per album, written as ReplayGain tags or applied to the samples with clipping protection. 🎛 Proper signal handling: resampling with a choice of filter quality, and dithering that switches on only when the bit depth actually drops. 💿 MP3 (CBR/VBR/ABR), AAC with HE-AAC profiles, FLAC, ALAC, WAV, AIFF, Opus and Ogg Vorbis. Input: anything macOS plays, plus WavPack and the audio track of video files. 📀 CUE sheets: one big FLAC or WAV is split into tracks with names and tags. ⚡️ Copy files in Finder and press ⌃⌥⌘C to convert them without opening the window. It is a native SwiftUI app, the interface is translated into 15 languages, and all processing happens locally on your Mac. Pricing: 5,99 $ I'd love to hear what you convert most often and what is missing. Batch tag editing and custom presets are next on my list.
