I’m Darek, the creator of At Your Service mobile app. The story behind this launch started about 20 years ago during my university days. I always wanted to build a tool that truly helps business owners, but back then, I did not yet see that a mobile app could become such a natural tool for running day-to-day service work.
I started working on this project seven years ago. My motivation came from my education, professional experience, and observations of the market. Larger companies usually have bigger budgets and many more software options available to support their processes. For solo professionals and micro-businesses, the situation is very different. Their choices are more limited, while enterprise tools are often too expensive, too complex, or simply not designed for the way small service businesses work.
I wanted to build something that helps independent professionals keep their work organized: customers, jobs, schedules, documents, payments, messages, and inventory, all connected to the real work they do every day.
The product evolved significantly during development. What started as an idea for organizing business processes became a mobile-first app built around the complete journey of a service job, from the first customer contact to completion and payment. Over the years, the biggest challenge wasn't adding features, but pruning them away to keep the app ultra-simple and intuitive. I built it for non-technical owners who just want to keep their business organized in a few taps. Cloud synchronization and team features came later as I thought more deeply about how small businesses grow and begin working with others.
This launch is another step in that process. I am sharing At Your Service app to learn whether it solves a problem that other service professionals recognize, and to discover what would make it genuinely useful in their daily work.
