AquaSense

Know exactly what your shower costs you, in real time

Most water monitors either require a full smart home setup, a plumber to install them, or only track total household usage with no breakdown. AquaSense is different: it's a standalone device that tracks water and energy consumption point by point — shower, sink, toilet — and converts it into real money spent, not just liters or kWh. No subscription. No ecosystem lock-in. No installation headaches. Currently in prototype phase, looking for feedback and people who actually care about this problem.

Top comment

Hi everyone! I'm Berto, the person building AquaSense — and yes, it's currently a one-man show. The idea came from a simple frustration: I pay my water bill every month and have absolutely no idea where the money goes. I looked for something that could tell me exactly what my shower costs per day — not in liters, not in kWh, but in actual euros. Couldn't find it. So I started building it myself. Right now I have a working prototype installed in my own home and I'm running real numbers on it. It's not pretty yet, but it works. I'm not here to sell anything — I'm here to find out if this problem is real for other people or if I'm just weird about utility bills. If you've ever looked at your water bill and had no idea what was behind the number, I'd genuinely love to hear from you. Happy to answer any questions about how it works technically, where I'm headed with it, or just chat about water bills
