Hey PH 👋 I built Andas because I'd installed four break reminder apps and dismissed all of them into uselessness. The notification always won, because clicking it away costs nothing and the break costs ten minutes of momentum. So this one doesn't ask. When a break starts it covers every display — no close button, no keyboard shortcut. Force-quit it mid-break and the lock comes back with the app, because the lock state lives in the Rust core and not in the window you just killed. The part I went back and forth on most: it can't be a dictator either. Sometimes a break lands two minutes before a call. So you earn a token for every break you actually take, and spend one to push a break you can't afford. A few per week, not unlimited — enough that skipping is a decision instead of a reflex. It also stays out of the way: waits out calls, meetings and screen shares, pauses when you've left the keyboard. Native (Rust/Tauri), licence verified offline so there's no account and no server, macOS 14+. Free for 14 days, then $19 once. Happy to answer anything — especially about the lockout implementation, that was the hard part.
