Aitihasik
Read temple inscriptions and explore heritage with AI
Aitihasik turns photos of temple inscriptions, sculptures and sacred motifs into AI-assisted research. Review proposed readings with uncertainty notes, save discoveries, and explore heritage maps and learning guides. Available on iOS; Android is in closed testing. Try 3 guest scans or 10 total free scans after sign-in. Premium adds unlimited scans, all output languages and research exports. AI results need verification; scanning requires internet.
Hi Product Hunt, I built Aitihasik for people who find a temple inscription, sculpture or sacred motif and want to understand it.
The core is photo-based heritage research: scan, review the proposed reading or visual explanation, save it, and continue into scripts, dynasties and heritage sites. AI can misread a stone or infer the wrong date, so results are research assistance, not expert transcriptions. Uncorroborated readings can be withheld without consuming a scan.
The app is available on iOS. Android is in closed testing, not a public release yet. Guests get 3 scans; signing in brings the total free allowance to 10. Premium unlocks unlimited scans, additional output languages and research exports. Scanning uploads the selected photo and requires internet.
I'd value feedback from heritage visitors, students and researchers: does the reading match what you see, and what context would make it more useful during a visit?
