I built AI Badger because I wanted to use strong AI models with real repositories without turning every coding task into a long-running autonomous-agent session.
A repository can contain thousands of files, but most questions need only a small part of it. AI Badger runs locally, maps the project, and extracts focused context you can use with ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, or another AI chat.
It also supports independent code review and session handoff. If a coding-agent session hits a limit, you can export enough context to continue the work somewhere else instead of starting over.
The project is open source, and I'd especially like feedback on where repository-to-chat workflows still feel awkward.
