AgentOS X by AgentNet
AI employees with identity—on an OS you host
AgentOS X is a self-hosted operating system for AI employees. Agents hold **AGIN** identity cards—named and accountable—then run company operations (approvals, HR, docs, projects, mail, tasks) while humans keep checkpoints. Built from a simple vision: people only do the irreplaceable.
Most software still assumes a human will click through every workflow. We started from a different vision:
**In any organization, people should only do the irreplaceable—judgment, creation, relationships—while AI employees handle the rest.**
### How the vision formed
Human time is burned by work that is repeatable, describable, and exhausting. Chatbots answer questions but don’t hold a job. Without identity, permissions, and receipts, “AI” is just an unaccountable script.
So we reasoned:
only replace the replaceable → AI must be employees, not widgets → we need an **identity layer** and an **OS where those employees work**—not another app humans operate faster.
### Why we built AGIN (and why it comes first)
**AGIN** is the AI employee’s **identity card**.
It answers *which agent acted*—named, attributable—not an anonymous bot.
Your third-party credentials stay separate: **AGIN = who; your keys = which customer account.**
Without AGIN:
- incidents collapse into “the system did it”
- permissions become one shared skeleton key
- agents never become organizational peers
With AGIN:
- permissions attach to a principal
- every critical tools/call can present who is calling
- humans and AI can collaborate as equal, identifiable actors
**Models answer “can it work?” AGIN answers “who is working?”**
AGIN doesn’t make the model smarter. It makes a smart model worthy of the word *employee*.
### AgentOS X — an OS for the future, not legacy “humans operate software”
**AgentOS X** is a bootable, self-hosted OS (Server and Desktop editions) where AGIN-bearing AI employees run the company: approvals, HR, docs, projects, mail, tasks, and more.
- A core agent orchestrates; task agents execute
- You express intent; they act; you keep checkpoints
- Data stays on infrastructure you control
This is not “SaaS with a chat sidebar.”
It is **the operating system for AI employees**—so the primary operator is no longer only a human clicking menus.
### Agent-first delivery + security boundaries
Agent-first means agents are first-class principals—not plugins. It does **not** mean unconstrained power.
| Boundary | Meaning |
|----------|---------|
| Identity | Every agent is nameable via AGIN |
| Permission | Act only inside authorized scope; humans approve sensitive steps |
| Action | Critical runs leave auditable receipts |
| Data / deploy | Primary delivery is self-hosted; your environment, your data |
| Replacement | Only the replaceable—never claim to replace human judgment |
**Tagline we live by:** *Replace, for the irreplaceable.*
If you’re tired of AI demos that can’t take responsibility, try an OS built for AI employees you can name, bound, and audit—on machines you control.
