I built 3AM around one very specific problem: it's the middle of the night, your brain won't stop, and the last thing you want is an app that feels like work to open.
It's a voice companion, not a chatbot. It picks up right where you left off in a conversation instead of making you re-explain yourself. It knows the difference between an anxious pause and someone actually finishing a thought. And if things get heavy, it doesn't hang up, it stays.
Under the hood: ElevenLabs Conversational Agents handles the voice layer (listening, turn-taking, the voice itself), and Claude from Anthropic powers the reasoning. Getting that combination to feel human instead of mechanical took real tuning, interruption sensitivity, silence thresholds, a crisis protocol that doesn't just exit a hard conversation.
No sign-up, no account, nothing recorded or stored once the call ends. It's anonymous, private, and free.
To be clear: this isn't therapy, and it's not trying to replace it. It's a quiet place to land when your brain won't let you rest.
